Barnacle
A cluster of textured barnacle inspired chambers jostle for space, emerging from the pod below.
Handbuilt in black stoneware with parian coral moss and a metallic sheen to enhance the surface. With an interior glaze of copper and manganese on porcelain slip.
Parian is a type of porcelain that imitates marble. It was developed in the mid-1800's by the staffordshire pottery manufacturere Minton and is often used in victorian sculptures and dolls and can be found in solid and slip form.
